Blount Home Education Association

BHEA is an association of independent home schooling families that formed in the late 1980s to encourage successful home education in Blount County. The organization, which operates with the help of many parent volunteers, provides support, information and encouragement to home schooling families and has more than 400 student members. BHEA sponsors many activities throughout the school year to enhance the educational program that each participating family provides at home.

TennKidsClub

TennKidsClub is a central web resource for home schoolers and those considering home schooling in the East Tennessee/Knoxville/Oak Ridge area. TennKidsClub strives to provide a one-stop, online home school site that provides answers to questions concerning how to start home schooling, local home school activities, and learning opportunities in the Tennessee River Valley and the Great Smoky Mountains areas around Knoxville.

Along with the website, we have an email loop open to all home schoolers. This is a great way to keep in touch with other home schoolers, ask questions, give and receive support and just find out what's going on in our area. Sign up for the loop by sending an email to Kidsclub2-subscribe@yahoogroups.com with your name, area and what grades you are home schooling,

Gateway Christian Schools

Gateway is a Christian school with three programs from which parents and legal guardians can choose. We have a traditional CAMPUS SCHOOL meeting daily at our Macon Road location in Memphis. We have an EXTENSION PROGRAM in which students come to one of our centers, pick up self-instructional curriculum materials, study these under parental supervision, and then come for tutor help or to take weekly tests. Finally, we have a TOTAL HOME EDUCATION PROGRAM for parents who accept full responsibility for the education of their children.

Berean Christian School

Berean Christian School is a family-friendly school, focused on readying its students for advanced education and for successful, Christian lives of leadership and service. The school is, and has been for its 25+ year history, a place where Knoxville-area families can turn for a quality education that includes and prioritizes the instilling of traditional Christian values and the fostering of a love for God in its students.

Smoky Mountain Home Education Association

The Smoky Mountain Home Education Association (SMHEA) is a Christian led, non-profit service organization with membership open to all. We seek to promote home education by providing information and vital resources to all area home schoolers. SMHEA serves the families of eighteen counties surrounding and including Knox County, and is one of seven Tennessee regional organizations affiliated with the Tennessee Home Education Association.
