Notes On ID Badges

Parents - please remind all of your children that it is imperative that they check in and out. We want to have an accurate record of who is in the building, and some older students have not been scanning in – I know it takes a little time, and if they don't have their badge it takes longer - but we must have everyone checked in and out - it is for their safety and for the security of everyone in the building.

If you arrive without your badge, you will be asked to step to the side and wait for anyone who has their badge to scan in first. You will then be manually scanned in and given a temporary badge - If you have lost your badge and need a replacement, the cost is $5. Most of the time we should be able to make it the same day.

ID Badges

Hopefully, our new system will be easier for everyone. For anyone forgetting their ID badge, we will now be providing a temporary ID badge for them to wear that day while in the building. Each temporary badge will have a badge number on it. Each person needing a temporary badge will need to sign in, will be assigned a badge number, and given that badge to wear that day. We are trying to not have to charge anyone for their badges if they have just forgotten them at home. These badges will need to be returned at the end of the day before the person leaves the co-op. They will also need to sign out at the end of the day. We don’t want to have to charge for these temporary tags, but if they start to not be returned at the end of the day, we may have to consider a fee.

Visitors will now be given a numbered “visitor” badge to wear while at co-op. These will be for guest speakers, or anyone else who is not a regular Thursday Connection person. Please follow the same procedures as for the temporary tags. Return these at the end of the day also.

Lost and broken ID’s will be printed the day they are reported as lost or broken. Broken cards are replaced free. Lost cards will be replaced for a $5 fee. Please plan to pick up the new ID as you leave the co-op.
