Welcome to Thursday Connection!

We are a Christian home school tutoring program. We believe strongly in the parents' ability to educate their children and wish to enable them in this endeavor. We wish to assist the home school educators, not replace them. We are not, and do not plan to become a school. We wish to minister to the parent and the child through these years of their lives. We welcome non-Christian families into our cooperative who are willing to follow our guidelines. We do not require families to sign a statement of faith.

Our classes are held on Thursdays from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

The church is located at 6900 Nubbin Ridge Road, located near the intersection of Nubbin Ridge Road and Westland off the Papermill exit.

Teacher Appreciation—This Week!

This Thursday, April 25, is Teacher Appreciation Day at Thursday Connection. We have the greatest teachers, who help us in homeschooling and give their best to our children. Please consider showing your appreciation with a word of thanks, a note, or a token of gratitude. If you would like to bring a snack or finger food, you may take it to the Keene Room or give it to your teacher directly. (The Keene Room has a sign over the door and is next to the church office, past the library).

Thursday Connection Waiting Lists

Emails were sent last Thursday regarding waiting lists. If you have not received one, you have the schedule you requested. The teachers have been very flexible, moving classrooms and increasing their maximums wherever possible to help your students get the classes they need. :)

Kroger Card Fundraiser

Claire has Kroger gift cards available in $25 and $50 denominations. When you buy a $25 gift card for $25, Kroger gives TC a donation. If you shop at Kroger anyway or if you plan to give a gift to someone, you may want to buy through TC, to help the co-op at the same time. Available at Claire’s table.

Dates to Remember

We have a busy two months ahead of us. You may want to make a note of our spring fundraiser: the Annual Mini-Golf Social. This is a great time for a group of friends or family to come enjoy an outing while supporting TC!

Aug 20 Orientation (held in the afternoon/evening this year and required for all families)

Spell to Write and Read (SWR)

Hello! Next Thursday, 3/21, at 2:30 I am going to be giving a demonstration and brief overview of a program called Spell to Write and Read (SWR). It will be held in room 24, upstairs. There are several who have an interest and have asked me about this program which is why I am doing this. Please fee free to contact me with questions before or after this about SWR.
