About Thursday Connection Thursday Connection (TC) is a homeschool cooperative that offers classes for grades K-12. TC is an academic and enrichment resource for homeschooling families and is not a private school or an umbrella school. TC’s administrators, administrative staff members, board members, and the majority of teachers are homeschooling parents in the co-op. We meet in West Knoxville in the Rocky Hill/Westmoreland area.
Schedule
TC meets on Thursdays for sixteen weeks per semester. The fall semester is August 13 through December 10. The spring semester is January 7 through April 29. Families select classes that begin as early as 8:00 a.m. and end as late as 4:30 p.m. Course descriptions and the schedule are available on our website.
Family Work Hours While parents are not required to remain on campus during their children’s classes, our co-op relies on parent participation. All families must complete sixteen family work hours per semester. New family work hours signups will take place after current family signups, so availability will be limited. Options include either four 4-hour shifts or sixteen 1-hr shifts. The shift you choose will be for one semester only. If you cannot work a scheduled shift, you may hire a substitute. A list of substitutes will be provided, but you are responsible for finding and paying a substitute.
Tuition and Fees Families pay tuition directly to teachers via invoices on TC's website. Yearly tuition amounts are listed in our course descriptions document. Yearly tuition is divided into eight payments—four in the fall and four in the spring. The tuition for spring will be half the yearly amount. The first payment of each semester serves as a deposit.
Refund Policy It is important to note that TC does not process refunds. All payments are non-refundable.
